This week, the cultural festival Golden Days is taking place, and it’s going to be monster good! We are proud that Silas Inoue’s monstrous sculptures are an official part of the program under the theme “MONSTER”. Meanwhile, @boghallen is throwing some gloomy events as part of the festival too!

First up, join @maria_oesterby in conversation with historian and fellow author @dorthe_chakravarty about a time when mistrust, magic and authority became intertwined.

Russia, North Korea and Iran. Are they evil regimes, or do we simply not understand them? Should we be more curious about the new global situation rather than afraid of it? How else can we expect to navigate the world if we do not understand what drives the conflicts and the powerful actors behind them?

Join @idasparreulrich from Verdenstraumer in conversation with her guest @mona_kanwal_sheikh .

The villain is essential. He sets the hero in motion, drives the narrative forward and reflects the darker sides of human nature. But where does the villain come from? And why does he fascinate us so deeply?

Meet Henrik Palle and Bo Tao Michaëlis, authors of this year’s official Golden Days book, Introduktion til skurkologien, as they take us on a journey through cultural history with the villain at its centre.

Meet @ras.daug , author of Rasmus Nielsøn, and Feline Kamber, author of Foder til høns, in conversation with journalist and author Benedicte Gui de Thurah Huang. About mud and demons. About realities and stories. And about what the monsters of our time are trying to tell us.
