Mingna Shi

I'm so happy to finally bring these earrings to the coloring stage. From the first spark of inspiration to the lines of the initial sketches, the design has gradually come together.

This time, I didn't try to make the rendering too polished. Instead, I kept more of the hand-drawn character, the golden leaves, the light catching the white diamonds, and a few lines left intentionally unrefined. Compared with a fully realistic rendering, I really like this space somewhere between a sketch and a finished piece.

As one piece from the butterfly and wheat-inspired series, I loved placing an emerald-cut diamond among layers of gold and pavé-set wheat.
