To my international family,

Thank you for the experience, the adventure, and, most importantly, for the people you became to me throughout this year.

In one year, I learned so much, experienced more than I ever expected, and somehow rediscovered parts of myself along the way, a lot of that because of you. I got to work alongside you, go out for drinks, travel to new countries, celebrate little victories, and unlock memories I know I’ll carry with me for a very long time.

You were one of the biggest reasons I had the strength to keep going when this adventure felt harder than I imagined. Somehow, you made a foreign place feel a little more like home.

I’ll miss our coffee breaks, always accompanied by some fofoca coach after lunch. I’ll miss the nights out where we would explore new places and somehow end up creating memories we never planned for. I’ll miss the spontaneous, completely unhinged moments after hours of work, the ones that made no sense and somehow meant everything.

But above all, I’ll miss you.

I’ll miss your craziness, the laughter you brought into my days, the little worries and the way we looked out for each other. I’ll miss having the excuse to cook portuguese food aka desserts for you and watching you experience a tiny piece of where I come from.

This year gave me many things, but you are, without a doubt, one of the best things I’m taking home with me.

I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

No matter where life takes us from here, a part of this chapter will always belong to you!
