my most liked story ever. dm overflow. tbh was afraid to post this yesterday, because i know how hard it is to survive, because i love the people making theatre, because i love this business, with all my heart. but it’s broken. and we need to fix it.

love this play, it’s so well written. the place professional theatre is at unfortunately only has 1 singular chance in hell with big names to buoy it.

The realities of the tv and film industry are at play here, obviously, as well as the Schubert Foundation making it almost impossible for a show to recoup its investment. And I don't know how we get people's eyeballs off their phones and their butts back into seats, but charging $250 per a$$ cheek ain't gonna help things in the long term.
