Rest isn’t the reward for finishing the work. It’s the position God does the work from.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures” sounds like the craziest concept when you’ve been taught your worth is your output. Six days a week, self-built, successful, and still tired.
Strength that’s only your own always ends the same way: burnt out, isolated, doing it alone. Psalm 23 isn’t asking you to quit. It’s asking whose strength you’re operating in.

Happy Thursday! “The Lord is my shepherd, I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows. He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name.” Psalm 23:1-3 🙏🤍🦋 This is a gentle reminder that it’s ok to rest. We must focus on operating in God’s strength by spending time with Him in the word and worship vs. striving in our own strength and hustle. Peace be with you 🫶✨
