Today marks the 25th anniversary of the shocking and devastating events of September 11th, 2001. It also marks 25 years since the people of Newfoundland, Canada opened their hearts and their homes to the thousands of diverted and stranded passengers from across the world.
Nose to tail, shoulder to shoulder, strangers to neighbours.
They gave them shelter, comfort, kindness, and safety in a world that seemed to be unraveling when they were so far from home.
