New chapter in life unlocked with @mariahsk8rbell

I’m deeply saddened about this news. This photo was taken when we played together in Tokyo this past September. He wasn’t looking very well and actually performed his set while seated, but it was incredible, 100% pure “Magic” set. It breaks my heart that this became the final moment with him.

As everybody knows, he was the true originator who shaped the blueprint of techno - a format that has since become one of the biggest club music genres in the world. Without him, techno simply wouldn’t exist.

When I first started producing, his music had a profound influence on me. I studied his track structures and tones inside out, listening to each of his songs thousands of times.

Once I established myself as a professional artist, I had the privilege of playing alongside him around the world as his fellow @randsrecords label mate. We shared stages across Europe - in countries like Belgium and Spain - at DEMF in Detroit, and, of course, many times here in Japan.

I first met him back in ’94 in Gent Belgium, when I was invited to a house party at a home of an R&S staff. I remember we were eating a local rabbit stew cooked in Trappist beer when he suddenly asked for ice cream. He was a wonderful mentor who was usually quiet and of few words, but always full of humor whenever he spoke.

Your legacy will live on forever. Rest in peace, Juan Atkins.

とても悲しいニュースに衝撃を受けている。写真は今年の９月、彼と東京で共演した時のものだ。体調が良くなさそうで椅子に座ってプレイしていたが、セット内容は純度100％の ”Magic” グルーブだった。残念ながらこれが彼との最後のひと時だった。

彼は今世界中でプレイされているテクノのフォーマットを作った真のオリジネイターだ。彼がいなければ今こうしてクラブミュージックの中心ジャンルであるテクノは存在していない。

私も学生時代に音楽を作り始めた頃、彼の作品に深く影響を受けた。彼の曲の構成、音色などを研究し尽くした。一曲あたり数千回は聴いた。

私がプロのアーティストになってからはR&Sレコーズのレーベルメイトとして、ベルギー、スペインなどのヨーロッパの国々、デトロイトのDEMF、そして日本国内でも何回も一緒にプレイさせてもらった。

一番最初に彼に会ったのはベルギー、ゲントのR&Sのスタッフの家でのホームパーティーに招かれた時だった。ベルギー料理のウサギのビール煮込みを食べながら、デザートにアイスクリームをリクエストしていた彼の姿を覚えている。いつも寡黙で口数は少ないが、たまに口にする言葉にユーモアが溢れている、そんなフレンドリーで素敵な大先輩だった。

Yusril Ihza Mahendra Menteri Koordinator Bidang Hukum, Hak Asasi Manusia, Imigrasi, dan Pemasyarakatan mengatakan, kasus dugaan penyadapan nomor telepon Presiden RI dan pejabat negara oleh Jenderal Polisi Sigit Listyo Prabowo bekas Kapolri, tidak terkait makar.

Menurutnya, dugaan tindak pidana tersebut berkaitan dengan penyadapan ilegal yang mengarah pada pelanggan Undang-undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE).

Dalam keterangannya, Selasa (3/11/2026) malam, di Jakarta, Yusril menjelaskan, pasal makar diatur secara khusus dalam peraturan perundang-undangan.

Sehingga, perkara yang sedang diproses kepolisian tidak bisa langsung dikaitkan dengan dugaan makar.

Sementara, Irjen Pol. Slamet Uliandi mantan Kepala Divisi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Polri masih berstatus saksi.

Pengumuman status hukum itu disampaikan Komjen Pol Asep Safrudin Kabareskrim Polri, Selasa (3/11/2026) malam, di Mabes Polri, Jakarta.

Berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan, para tersangka diduga memerintahkan penyadapan tanpa prosedur hukum yang sah sepanjang tahun 2025 sampai 2026. Praktik tersebut dilakukan tanpa surat permohonan penyidik atau lampiran laporan polisi (LP).

Menurut Asep, penyadapan dilakukan dengan memasukkan sejumlah nomor telepon ke dalam sistem Lawful Interception Management System tanpa melalui proses verifikasi. Sehingga, nomor-nomor yang masuk bisa dipantau tanpa keterkaitan dengan proses penegakan hukum.

Padahal, mekanisme pemantauan dan penyadapan wajib mengikuti ketentuan dalam Peraturan Kapolri Nomor 5 Tahun 2010 yang menegaskan proses penyadapan harus memiliki dasar hukum yang jelas, termasuk keterkaitan dengan kepentingan penyelidikan atau penyidikan sesuai peraturan perundang-undangan.

Tapi, dalam perkara ini, penyidik menduga para tersangka memerintahkan pihak tertentu memasukan sejumlah nomor telepon ke sistem penyadapan tanpa melalui prosedur yang dipersyaratkan.
