These fake AI women on here piss me off SO much. Seriously. 😤 I see them EVERYWHERE. Supposedly women in their 50s, 60s and 70s, with impossibly smooth skin, perfect bodies and just enough wrinkles to make them look “real.” And what irritates me even more? The comments underneath. People admiring these women, asking about their skincare routines, without realising THEY DON’T EXIST. And I get it. AI is becoming frighteningly difficult to distinguish from reality. But think about what’s going on here. For decades, women have been told they’re not young enough, thin enough or beautiful enough. We’ve fought unrealistic beauty standards, photoshopped bodies, filters and the ridiculous idea that aging is something to be ashamed of. And just when we’re finally celebrating real women and real aging, here comes another impossible beauty standard. A bloody ROBOT. Seriously? Are we supposed to compare ourselves to women who don’t even exist? And let’s not forget how much money there is to be made from making women feel insecure. Convince us there’s something wrong with our faces, bodies or age, then sell us the promise that we could look like THAT if only we bought the right cream or miracle product. Well, guess what? NO WAY. NO WAY we’re competing with artificial perfection. NO WAY we’re ashamed of our wrinkles. NO WAY we’re believing a 60-year-old woman should look like a computer-generated fantasy. NO WAY we’re spending our lives fixing things that were never wrong with us. I have nothing against AI but I have a BIG problem with fabricated women being presented as real, reinforcing the beauty standards we’ve been fighting against. I want to see REAL women. With wrinkles, texture, softness, strength and stories written all over their faces. Women who look 50 at 50. Who look 70 at 70. Who don’t owe anyone a younger version of themselves. Aging is not a flaw. Being human is not a flaw. And looking like yourself is certainly not a flaw. You don’t need to compete with something that isn’t even real. #stopai #instagram

In this episode of Style DNA I go on a style journey with the award-winning journalist, broadcaster, beauty expert and co-founder of the incredible charity Beauty Banks … Sali Hughes (newly appointed) MBE… Although best known for her encyclopaedic knowledge of beauty, Sali reveals that fashion and film have always been her greatest passions. We talk about her love of sharp tailoring, her extraordinary talent for finding pre-loved treasures, choosing her outfit to receive her MBE at Windsor Castle and the inspiring story behind Beauty Banks as well as some rather fabulous encounters along the way… including one with Dame Joan Collins. Her Style DNA? Neat, Timeless and Distinctive. Thank you @salihughes for such a wonderful conversation ❤️ A huge thank you to @silkn.eu for supporting this season of Style DNA, and for being part of my own skin journey too. #salihughes #styleDNA #fashionpodcast #silknpartner
It’s been a minute from the feed ☺️ Finally we’re here now💃🏾.. Wore this fabulous leather two piece a few evenings ago to a beautiful gathering kicking of @lagosfashionweekofficial and welcoming @imranamed of @bof to Lagos. Hosted by @omoyemiakerele and @renifolawiyo It was a perfect evening surrounded by good people, good vibes, good food and the most wonderful floral arrangements💐🪸🌾 My hand painted leather two piece is a SS2026 interpretation of a @lisafolawiyo_studio SS2010 look. Love this look so much! The 2010 look is on the last slide if you’re curious to see.
