“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never surrender.” - Tupac Shakur. 30 years ago on this day, @2pac, one of Hip Hop’s most beloved artists and icons, tragically passed away from his wounds suffered from a Drive-by shooting that occurred in Las Vegas. He was 25 years old and was considered by millions as one of the most influential emcees of all time. During his lifetime and legendary career, 2Pac had released some of Hip Hop’s best albums in the 90s such as “Me Against the World”, “All Eyez On Me” and Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. He released countless unforgettable singles such as “Brenda Got a Baby”, “I Get Around”, “Keep Ya Head Up”, “Dear Mama”, “Califonia Love”, “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” and many others. Tupac also starred in classic films such as Juice, Poetic Justice, Above the Rim, Gridlock’d and Gang Related. He was unapologetic himself and spoke out against police brutality, racial injustice and poverty within the black community. Pac was also known for getting involved in various legal cases, beefing with Biggie Smalls and many East Coast emcees and aligning himself with Death Row. Despite all that Pac dealt with throughout his 25 years on earth, much of his work addressed contemporary social issues that plagued inner cities. Tupac had often considered a symbol of activism against inequality. He was gone too soon 30 years ago at the age of 25 years old. 2Pac’s legacy in music, film and social activism will continue to inspire many to strive for changes in the world we live in! #2Pac #TupacShakur #MeAgainstTheWorld #AllEyezOnMe #RIP2Pac 👑🤴🏾✊🏾💔🙏🏾🕊️
