NYP: U.S. authorities flew a diplomat out of Britain after child abuse images were allegedly found on his phone, reportedly taking him from his London home to a U.S. air base and flying him back to the United States.

British police were informed about the investigation but were apparently not told in advance about the diplomat’s removal.

The U.S. embassy said the diplomat had been reassigned to the United States as part of an ongoing investigation and that it was cooperating with British authorities.
