Artwork Title: “A Borrowed Wing”
5 ½ inches x 8 ½ inches surface
Medium: Chalk on paper
Artwork completed on: 09-12-2026

A shaft, a ray,
a borrowed wing—

an inference
to
the flight that sweeps.

A granular grace
in
the surface pulp—

something of the holy
will
engulf.

A gradient angle
of
an inward thrust—

the consuming desire
to
follow the must.

On a journey
in
airy light—

the first flap
that
finds the slight.

Come near
then
a ways to go—

ride the unction
to
take it slow.
