Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras made headlines in 2023 after earning her private pilot’s license at just 17, before even getting her driver’s license. She began flying lessons and ground-school classes in 2020, with support from her father, who was also a pilot. While attending West Boca Raton High School in Florida, she joined the Palm Beach County School District’s Aviation Academy, which helped fund her training. By September 2023, she had passed her aviation knowledge test and accumulated 88 flight hours, earning her private pilot’s license.

She continued advancing her career, eventually obtaining commercial, multi-engine, instrument and certified flight instructor qualifications. In a social media post, she asked, “How often do you see two pilots under 21 with a commercial, multi-engine, instrument, CFI/CFI-I?” She had also accumulated approximately 1,300 flight hours. In an interview, she joked about being able to fly but not drive, saying, “People say, ‘Oh, you can’t drive,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I can fly.’”

There is a massive difference between treating fitness as a phase and treating it as a way of living.
When you see those of us in our 40s and beyond who are in incredible shape, you are looking at people who stopped making sacrifices a long time ago. Instead, we made a choice.
To the outside world, our lifestyle looks like a series of restrictions. No nights out, no junk food, no breaks. People think we possess superhuman willpower.
But from the inside, it requires almost no willpower at all.
Why? Because we made that choice which shifted our identity. We don’t crave junk food because it doesn’t agree with the body anymore. Instead, we eat what fuels us and makes us function well. There is no feeling of deprivation when your actions align perfectly with your values. For us, it isn’t a sacrifice; it is the ultimate form of self-respect.
Now, look at the other side of the coin.
A lot of people who look incredible at 25 will not maintain that look into their 40s.
At 25, youth provides a natural biological buffer. A fast metabolism and rapid recovery can easily compensate for a lot of lifestyle inconsistencies. The trap is that when staying in shape requires less effort, it’s easy to treat fitness as a temporary project rather than learning how to truly live this way.
But youth eventually expires. When that biological buffer fades and life gets complicated, a temporary project mindset completely collapses. You cannot outwork a changing biology without deep roots.
For us, fitness isn’t a project we run to when we have time—it is part of our daily life.

🌸 Sri Anjaneya Swamy – An Embodiment of Bhakti, Strength & Humility 🌸

With folded hands and a heart filled with devotion, Sri Anjaneya Swamy stands as the eternal symbol of unwavering faith and selfless service to Lord Sri Rama. 🙏

His Anjali Mudra beautifully reminds us that true strength lies in humility, devotion and complete surrender to the Divine.

🌺 My humble artistic attempt to recreate the divine beauty of Sri Anjaneya Swamy, inspired by a temple Utsavar Alangaram reference found on Pinterest.

May Anjaneya Swamy bless us all with courage, wisdom, good health and unwavering devotion. ❤️

If there are any shortcomings in my artistic interpretation, I humbly seek the blessings and forgiveness of Sri Anjaneya Swamy. 🙏
