I don’t even know where to start. So much has already been said, and everything everyone says is true. Over the past week, I’ve been remembering all those years we worked together. From editing the tokyofoodmap to working on the first print issue. I always looked up to you and admired the spirit you brought to everything.
Even when we drifted apart, I kept all those memories close. The first heroinsamurai prints have moved with me from apartment to apartment, and they’re only a small sign of how much I admire you and everything you stood for. Reading all the stories people have shared, it’s overwhelming how many people saw you as an inspiration and someone to turn to. A true mentor for so many. I aim to remember this talent of yours. Take everyone seriously, connect the right people, work hard for your dream, never give up, and of course that life’s too short for grammar and autocorrect.

You created something immortal: your vision will live on through everyone you inspired and touched.
