Here's how your document is supposed to look when you're done submitting to literary agents and publishers.

I am also offering free Beta Reading ❤️💐

If you are an author preparing you manuscript and want honest, constructive feedback, feel free to send a DM.

Letter paper size? Really? I've only ever seen and heard of A4 paper size when submitting manuscripts.

Ummm… no. I like my fancy fonts and will print and publish myself if that’s what it takes to keep them.

This is apt, although we know writing takes so much effort that we tend to overlook the indents and stuff. But still, your details and a concise synopsis is always appreciated!

Question: It's suspected that Google Doc is feeding the doc/stories we save to it's AI, and I want to ask other authors are you guys worried about it? I want to know if I should migrate to somewhere else or not... 😭

The thing is the printing process. I have money but my mom would probably find out if I took a print out. She ain't that much supportive of my writing. She says writing is fine and all but she prefers poems since that is my "talent".

Does it matter more for pub or agents? I use query tracker for agents and the query submission doesn’t let you change the font

The first thing you do is check for what the agent or publishing house wants (font, spacing, etc) and go by that. This goes for word count as well, particularly for first-time authors. If industry standard for your genre is 85,000, your finished manuscript needs to be around 85,000 words. You may be a creative but publishing is a professional business and if you’re going to succeed you need to adhere to their standards.
