Do you pin it after steaming it or is it left to dry on the hanger? I've only blocked granny squares so far and have one of those peg boards to do so, and have been curious how to block something much bigger

have you ever partially blocked something? i made a dress that's near perfect, except for a super slight mismatch in the length of the two panels (front and back). i was thinking of blocking just the end to make it work...
