We were so blessed with this unique experience to have the entire castle to ourselves, and I was able to stay in the magical master bedroom, the very room where a man with a dream and determination once lived. 🏰🖤

At first, I was just amazed that we were actually inside a castle. But then I learned the story behind it, and it made everything feel so much more meaningful.

Mike Newman was a baker who dreamed of having his own castle. In 1998, he started building that dream, turning something that existed only in his imagination into something real. He designed it, worked on it, and built so much of it with his own hands.

And I keep thinking about that.

How beautiful it is to have a dream so big that you’re willing to spend years of your life bringing it to life.

He didn’t just build a castle. He built his own little world.

And somehow, I got to step inside it.

I slept in the same master bedroom where he once slept. I walked through the halls he created. I rang his bell. I danced at the top of his tower.

And standing there, I could feel the happiness he must have felt looking around at everything he had created.

Because he did it.

He turned a dream into stone, towers, walls, windows, a moat, a chapel and a bell tower.

Mike passed away in 2024 inside the castle he built, but his dream is still alive.

His story is still here. In the towers, the stone, the bell, the rooms, and in every person who walks through those doors and feels wonder.

I wasn’t just visiting a castle.

I was walking through someone’s dream.

A dream he built with his own hands.

And for a little while, I got to be part of it. 🏰

Thank you, Mike, for being a man with a dream and the determination to make it real.

And thank you to his family and the Castle Keepers for keeping his dream alive.

I came to stay in a castle.

I left feeling like I had stepped inside a story that was once only a dream.

And I’ll carry this memory with me forever. ❤️🖤
