To everyone caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s, this post is for you. A few days ago, my beautiful mother-in-law Margaret, aged 87, lost her husband of over 65 years. She was just 21 when they married. Now she’s facing life without the man she has spent almost her entire adult life with. And she is living with Alzheimer’s. Spending time with her has been incredibly precious. She may not remember what we did yesterday, but the Margaret I know and love is still there. The cheeky, funny, kind, caring woman who has been such an incredible mother-in-law to me. I’m learning that love isn’t always about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, again and again, even on the difficult days. There are so many of us navigating this journey, with its heartbreaks, challenges and precious little moments of joy. Even when someone may not remember what you did for them , the comfort, dignity and love they felt in that moment matters. Memories may fade, but our responsi

Here’s a feature in my new camera app, Lume: Rangefinder mode lets you pre-frame your shot before you press the shutter. You can save a full RAW with the crop info built in, ready for Lightroom, or keep things simple with JPEG/HEIF files of both the full frame and the crop. Lume is coming in just a few weeks. Comment “Lume” to sign up for the waitlist and be the first to know when it’s out.
