Messed up my latest half marathon, but it probably gave me the reality check I needed.

So for VDHM, we’re back to training.

VDHM training structure:

3–4 runs/week
• 1 interval / speed / tempo session
• 1-2 medium runs, usually 5-10K
• 1 weekend long run, building from 10K towards 18K
• Around 25-30+ km per week, gradually increasing volume before the taper

I’m still strength training around 5x a week, so the goal is to balance getting stronger without letting the running disappear again.

Target: sub-2 hours

A few weeks to put the work in. Let’s see what happens.

Are you running VDHM this year?

Hi Akshat, not all races are for PB, sometime races are just to go with the flow and enjoy the route. Not all runs need to be hardest, fastest, toughest, breathless to be a good run.
