CHRIS ADLER — LAMB OF GOD ERA! 🥁🔥 When we talk about drummers who helped DEFINE the sound of modern heavy metal, CHRIS ADLER absolutely belongs in that conversation! His work with LAMB OF GOD is a masterclass in SPEED, PRECISION, GROOVE, and rhythmic CREATIVITY. But one thing I’ve always found FASCINATING about Chris is his approach to CYMBALS! In a genre where drummers often gravitate toward MASSIVE cymbals, Chris took a DIFFERENT approach. His setups featured smaller cymbals, including 8” and 12” SPLASHES and 14” CRASHES. And here’s what I absolutely LOVE. Chris would actually RIDE on SPLASH CYMBALS during some of Lamb of God’s HEAVIEST sections! Instead of the sustained WASH of a huge crash, those smaller cymbals delivered a TIGHT, ARTICULATE sound that cut through the distorted guitars. Of course, he wasn’t afraid to go BIG either. The man also played a MASSIVE 24” RIDE! And that SNARE DRUM! His 12” x 5.5” Mapex Black Panther produced that unmistakable, cutting CRACK that became such an important part of his sound. Combine those choices with his intricate double-bass patterns and syncopated grooves, and you get something instantly RECOGNIZABLE. Go listen to “Ruin,” “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” or “Walk with Me in Hell.” Some absolutely NASTY drum parts! But what makes Chris so important to me isn’t just his TECHNIQUE. It’s that he developed a recognizable MUSICAL IDENTITY. The cymbal choices. The snare sound. The intricate kick patterns. The way his grooves lock in with those CRUSHING guitar riffs. You hear it, and you KNOW who’s behind the kit. And THAT is one of the hardest things to accomplish as a musician. So much has already been done that finding your OWN sound can feel almost IMPOSSIBLE. But when you stay true to YOURSELF and YOUR musical tastes instead of constantly chasing what everyone else is doing, something truly PERSONAL can emerge. Chris Adler is PROOF of that! 🥁🔥 What’s YOUR favorite Chris Adler drum performance? #drums #drumvideo #metaldrummer #lambofgod #chrisadler

« This passion inside, I can't run from myself, There's nowhere to hide, Your love I'll remember forever » @whitneyhouston ❤️ Nothing beats dancing to REAL music! This songgggg, what a classic. Timeless. And my Erykah Badu shirt of course 😍 I said JAAAAAZZZZ!!! My therapy! Another super easy choreography of mine ahaha 😰 like seriously tho, why do I keep doing this to myself!!! I’m not 20years old anymore 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ You probably can’t tell and that’s the beauty of it but trust me when I say that I was fighting for my life!!! And it’s my combo!!! I guess I just get bored when I’m not challenged! How about you? I have to say that I was a little disappointed that I didn’t have more advanced dancers in this class… like where are you??? I remember that teaching in LA used to be so exciting for the level…what’s happening? Aren’t you bored of tik tok challenge yet! This was a REAL CHALLENGE! Anyway… I’m still very grateful for all the students that did show up to class 🙏🏻 Thank you ❤️😘 🎥 @berlin_jonathan_

Lucky Penny is hospitalized. ❤️‍🩹 We had hoped to see improvement after 24 hours, but her symptoms are still very significant, most discouragingly her refusal of food. Even with symptom management and force-feeding, she is extremely anorexic at just 315g (she should weigh about 700g at her age) and is experiencing intermittent hypoglycemia that is much better managed on IV in an emergency hospital. She’s a very challenging case, and based on the severity of her body condition, this has been impacting her for some time. In addition to her respiratory issues and inappetence, she also has severe symblepharon, with her conjunctival tissues adhered together on both eyes. This is causing blindness and damage that is unlikely to be reparable; she’s on all the right medications and as long as she continues to pull through, she will be seen by an ophthalmologist this week to determine if anything else can be done. Right now, the focus is on her immediate survival. Our main goal is for her to EAT. The only good news is that her initial critical care bloodwork isn’t too bad, and so far everyone is aligned on continuing care for her. I’m including a video at the end to show you how sweet Lucky Penny is, making little biscuits on her blanket. She reminds me so much of the condition and age that I found my cat Eloise many years ago. She breaks my heart and I am determined to give her every possible chance. Should you wish to help with her hospital fees, you can donate on this post. 🧡
