Something happened today that frustrated me enough to sit with the reason why. I realized I have very little patience for entitlement, laziness, and constant excuses.
I don’t mind helping people, making equitable accommodations, or showing grace. What bothers me is when someone expects the rules to bend for them while refusing to put in the effort—until something is taken away or lost. There is always a “valid” excuse, yet they still expect to receive the same benefits as those who showed up and did the work.
Your reasons may be valid, but they do not erase your responsibility. Grace should never become permission to avoid effort, accountability, or consequences.
