◼️A STORY FOR A SHAPE ⚫️
For this workshop, ECAL invited Paris based artist Mélanie Courtinat @melanie.courtinat . Her work spans video games, the moving image and digital installations, exploring their place in popular culture with particular attention to agency and disobedience.
It all started with a single geometric primitive: cube, sphere, cone. With the help of Unreal Engine and a precise synchronization between physical space and virtual environment, 3rd year Media & Interaction Design students transformed these fixed shapes into narrative virtual reality experiences.
