“Golden Kin” is about believing you belong after years of hard work to get where you want to go. At the same time, it’s about pinching yourself to make sure the rewards that you received are actually there in front of you. This song pays tribute to families who made incredible sacrifices seeking opportunities or safety in a new country. It’s important to remember where you came from and how you got here.

I wrote this at a time where I felt uncomfortable to openly sing about my heritage. A few years have passed and now I’m ready to because of the courage that other artists have displayed to speak out against the atrocities happening today.

We are raising money for @thepcrf. Their objective is to provide medical aid, food, and more to children in Gaza who have been impacted by this genocide.
