Thousands of kilometres away from home, in the beautiful streets of Old Town Phuket, I came across something that felt incredibly familiar the celebration of Lord Ganesha.
What struck me most was not just seeing Ganesh Ji being worshipped in Thailand, but witnessing how a belief, a tradition and a celebration can travel beyond borders and bring people together.
India and Thailand may be two different nations, with different languages, cultures and histories, but moments like these remind us that devotion and faith can create a connection that doesn't need translation.
The celebration in Phuket Old Town was beautifully organised, vibrant and full of energy. From the decorations and music to the arrangements, the participation of the local community and the overall atmosphere it was genuinely wonderful to witness.
A special appreciation to everyone involved in organising and managing this celebration and for creating a space where people could come together and celebrate Ganesh Ji with such warmth and enthusiasm.
For an Indian travelling in Thailand, unexpectedly finding Ganesh Chaturthi being celebrated like this was a beautiful reminder of home just in a different part of the world.
One faith. Different shores. One beautiful celebration. 🐘🙏
