and just when I thought I had enough gingham, I put two in one dress 🤪
I took my time with this one and it was nice to sew slowly !! sometimes I feel like I sew to share rather than wear (damn and it rhymes too 😏 lyrical genius) so if that’s you too, this is your reminder to sew for you!! 🫶🏼
Fabric:
♡ Both organic washed cotton ginghams from
@trurofabrics (one of them kindly
#gifted)
Pattern:
♡ The
#TeddyDress in a size 10 by
@mykeepernz Notes:
♡ these cottons are sooooo dreamy I could make five more dresses from them to wear all year round 🤤
♡ v happy with the sizing on this one as a certified toile-hater, fits like a glove!!
♡ pockets are a bit low because somehow my pocket notches didn’t match on the panels (potentially due to the fact I can’t filter on sizes on an iPad so have to print them all and could have got the notches mixed up) so I went with the lower notches, but still usable!!
♡ I hand-basted the zip in place and that made a world of difference, the finish is so clean 🤩
♡ deffo should have stay-stitched the neckline and armholes but with all the panels I just forgot, whoops
♡ somehow ended up with double the amount of loops needed and ties that needed like a metre trimmed off each ?? so will be looking for future uses for those lol because I can’t waste a thing
