Breaking up with someone can be one of the most emotionally difficult experiences in a relationship, especially when both people feel they have invested different amounts of time, money, and effort. While some relationships end because of cheating or major disagreements, others fall apart over smaller situations that reveal deeper problems involving appreciation, communication, and expectations. Gift-giving is one area where couples can experience serious disagreements. Some people believe the thought behind a present matters more than its price, while others feel disappointed when their partner doesn’t put in the same effort they do. Psychologists often emphasize that relationships work best when both partners feel valued, rather than keeping score of every purchase or romantic gesture. Sometimes an argument about a birthday gift isn’t really about the gift at all, but about feeling unappreciated over time. πŸ’” #Breakups #Relationships #Dating

3/20/21 I wrote a song called Simulation Blue, exploring the merging of human & machine. I had no idea that one song would turn into an almost 6 year journey of creating my debut album. This project is a labor of love, brought to life by so many beautiful collaborators who each poured their own love & expertise into it. It’s also another world I’ve had the pleasure of & so much fun building, & if you’ve been here for a while, you know world building is one of my favorite things to do. This album has taken many shapes, missed many deadlines, & lived through more than a few unexpected turns. But every delay, every deal that fell through, every opportunity for it to grow has allowed it to evolve alongside me. Sometimes things not working out the way you imagined is exactly how they’re meant to work out. As I step into this new era, I want to keep making room for the things that matter, love, human connection, collaboration, creation, & the protection of the people who make art possible. I refuse to lose hope in art or in us. I will continue to advocate for artists & continue to contribute to a future where the people who help build this industry aren’t left behind as it evolves. 11 years & nearly 70 songs later….I’m proud to announce that my Debut Album, Simulation Blue will be all yours 11/13. To a new era & a new world I can’t wait to explore with yall 🩡 A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the Simulation Blue Trailer to life πŸ“‘ Creative Director | TanerΓ©lle Director | Editor | @zevxyork Additional Creative | @zevxyork @kamalshaquille Earth Archives Player’s Voice @janellemonae Styled by | TanerΓ©lle + @krystlelorayne Makeup | @hotlikefirre Line Producer | @JoeyHighshoe 1st AC | @Tayleno Gaffer | @Calub_Harris Key Grip | @BenjaminryanMoeller Production Designer | Jonah Goldberg VFX | @lumiin3d Color | @lakehousecolor Management | @ashleyyakira 3D Artist/Title Design | @paxandq
