May be a graphic of text that says 'A concussion, generally referred to as a mild traumatic brain injury or mTBI, is an injury to the brain caused by a blow or jolt that disrupts normal brain functioning. The force damages the axons that connect neurons in your brain by causing them to stretch or break. As a result of injured neurons, chemicals leak in and out of the cells and blood flow to the brain decreases. ベン BRAIN TALK FOUNDATION'.

SUPPLY DEMAND It's common for people recovering from a concussion to feel they are always "running out of energy." The brain can't produce enough supply to meet the demand. Common symptoms include difficulty with headaches, memory, irritability, balance, visual processing, sleep, and hormonal changes. バン BRAIN TALK FOUNDATION'.

Today is National Concussion Awareness Day. 💙🧠💚
A concussion doesn't have to look dramatic. Sometimes it's just a headache, a little fog, feeling "off" after a bump you almost shook off. But it still matters.

Quick reminders:
✅ Don't "walk it off." Report symptoms
✅ Rest your brain, not just your body
✅ Watch for mood or sleep changes, in you or people you love
✅ Don't rush back to life’s demands before you're cleared

You don't have to be an athlete for this to apply to you. It can happen to everyday people doing everyday things.

Protecting your brain is protecting your future. #braintalkfoundation #concussionawareness #tbi
