As we reflect on yesterday, all of us at 1846 Farms want to express our sincerest empathy to our community. We share in the disappointment after the record rainfall and storms our area has experienced this year.
Our hearts also go out to the volunteers, neighbors, friends, and everyone who worked tirelessly for months preparing for what we hoped would be an incredible day on our farm.
Yesterday, several news outlets asked us, “What is the silver lining?”
For us, it was watching our community come together for the very first event inside The Bronze Eagle Barn.
We chose the name “Bronze Eagle” because the eagle represents strength and resilience. When faced with adversity, it’s not about how many times you get knocked down — it’s about how you get back up.
As farmers, we understand that all too well. Some years, drought destroys crops. Other years, relentless rain can undo months of work. But farmers get back up. They keep going. They don’t quit.
Yesterday, we watched that same spirit come alive at 1846 Farms through the kindness, empathy, and support of our community.
That message of resilience also extends to a community incredibly close to our hearts — those living with cystic fibrosis. Thank you to everyone who donated, purchased a shirt, shared our mission, or supported the
@cf_foundation This year, we chose not to plant our fields with their usual crops so we could prepare parking for the thousands we expected to welcome. While things didn’t unfold as we hoped, those fields will be planted again.
Seasons change. Crops grow again. Fields recover. And so do we.
Yesterday wasn’t the day we planned for, but it reminded us exactly who we are.
We get back up. We keep going. And we never quit.
Thank you for standing with 1846 Farms. ♥️
