Music, art, fashion, beer, and community came together at Oak Cliff Assembly on Friday, September 18th, and it delivered on every front. River Jude and Co. put on an elevated take on a songwriter swap, with River Jude, Ash Leone, and Lokie each taking their turn in the spotlight throughout the night.
On keys, Ishmael Moody built out a soundscape underneath it all, giving the night the feel of listening to an album more than watching a live show. Manhattan Project Beer's Karl Sanford played a major role in shaping the atmosphere on stage.
The space itself deserves its own mention — a converted church now open for events, and easily one of the coolest venue vibes in the city right now. A great crowd turned out, and love was genuinely in the air. This was the first of many more nights to come from this musical enclave — don't miss the next one.
