This is my friend Liz. And she is one of the bravest women I know. ❤️
In our latest Herizen Live, Liz talks about her brother Rob, who was terminally ill and chose voluntary assisted dying in Australia.
She talks about what that decision meant to Rob. What it meant to the people who loved him. And why that experience ultimately led her to campaign for a change in the law here.
It’s a difficult subject. An emotional one. And one people hold very different views on.
But at the heart of Liz’s story is a conversation about choice, dignity, autonomy, love - and what it means to have some control at the end of your life.
We’re incredibly grateful to her for trusting us with something so personal.
This isn’t a Live about telling anyone what to think.
It’s about listening to lived experience, understanding why someone feels as strongly as they do, and making space for the conversations that aren’t always easy to have.
