When I first started talking to Elvira, it was simply because I admired her. I wasn’t looking for a muse, planning a book, or imagining that one day I’d be holding 112 pages with her name inside them.
There was a time when most of my writing came from sadness. Without realizing it, I started believing that the most beautiful words had to come from pain.
And then Elvira walked into my life.
She simply existed exactly as herself — and somehow, little by little, there was light in my writing again.
Suddenly, I was writing about emerald eyes catching the light. About laughter feeling like sunshine. About the strange happiness of simply remembering that someone exists somewhere in the same world as you.
And somewhere along the way, I remembered:
Not every poem has to be born from sadness. Some can be made of light.
Some words don’t come from losing someone. Sometimes they come from being grateful that you found them.
Those words became poems. Those poems became pages. And somehow, those pages became the book I’m holding today.
Thank you for every little piece of inspiration you gave me without ever knowing it. You never had to try to inspire me. Somehow, simply being you was enough.
Maybe it’s true that not all angels have wings. Maybe some simply walk into your life at the right time, carrying a little light with them, unaware of how much brighter they’re making somebody else’s world.
People don’t always enter our lives to leave scars. Sometimes they leave light instead. I’m incredibly grateful that, in my story, that person happened to be you. 💚
So here we are. From one message sent out of admiration… to emerald eyes becoming poetry, laughter becoming words, and eventually, a whole book.
Thank you, Elvira — for giving my imagination a face, my admiration a voice, and eventually, my words a home.
