Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms won Georgia’s race for governor, news media projects, becoming the first Black woman elected governor of a US state and delivering Democrats a victory in one of the nation's most closely divided political battlegrounds. The former Atlanta mayor, who will also be the first female governor of the state, defeated Republican businessman Rick Jackson. πŸ”— Read about US midterm results as they come in at our link in bio
Vice President JD Vance blamed Republicans’ midterm election losses on the Iran war Wednesday, declaring that β€œeveryone knows why” the party lost control of both chambers of Congress.⁣ ⁣ β€œThe reason we lost is the war,” Vance wrote in a lengthy post on X, arguing that many voters who supported President Donald Trump in 2024 switched to Democrats in 2026.⁣ ⁣ Vance said pollsters also pointed to concerns over the cost of living, putting America first and the U.S. relationship with Israel as factors in voters’ decisions.⁣ ⁣ Read more at link in bio.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ πŸ“Έ: Andrew Harnik via Getty Images
Wales experiences around 60% of all UK wildfires. An inspiring discussion with firefighters from South Wales Fire & Rescue Service and the Treherbert community last month, and hearing how they came together during this summer’s devastating fires. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to keep people safe, and for sharing their experiences and lessons for the future.
#TotalPolitik #ChamadHojin #gibran #puspollindonesia
