17 years… just imagine. We were babies when this friendship started, and somehow, through all the changes, seasons, ups and downs, we are still here. You’ve watched me grow, seen different versions of me, and yet you’ve never stopped being my person.
You’re more than my home girl; you’re my sister, my safe place, and one of the few people I know I can genuinely count on. Whenever I’m in Abuja and I feel bored, lonely, or just need somewhere that feels like home, you’re one of the first people I think of. Because with you, I don’t have to pretend or explain myself. You welcome me, you love me, and you treat me like I truly belong.
Thank you for every time you showed up, every time you stood by me, every laugh, every memory, every little thing you’ve done that you probably don’t even realize meant so much to me. Some friendships are just friendships, but ours became family without us even realizing it.
