The Sladen covey is growing.

Never really is a funny word.

I never thought I’d be this happy in life, never thought I’d have a vasectomy reversed, and definitely never thought I’d be announcing another kid.

When Laine and I started dating we’d already been friends, and I knew she wanted a child of her own. She told me she was okay giving that up to have a life with me, and she did a pretty damn good job convincing me.

But after years of watching her with Falco, and seeing the kind of mother she was to a kid she didn’t have to love like her own, I started thinking maybe that was one of those things neither of us should have accepted as a never.

So I found a doctor willing to reverse a surgery I’d been told was basically irreversible after so many years, went through a procedure that fucking sucked, and then life went on.

About a year later we found out it worked.

Turns out I’ve been wrong about a lot of my nevers, and I’ve never been happier to be wrong about one.

Laine and I will be welcoming another little one come March
