A guernsey means more than merchandise. A guernsey means more than a sponsor’s billboard. The guernsey is the one constant that connects generation to generation. The guernsey is the reason millions cheer on a group of men or women each week, even though they may never meet. And the guernsey is the reason those men and women dedicate their blood, sweat and tears to chasing a ball.

However, it is the rarest of things to get the opportunity to resurrect the sacred colours of a clubs from a bygun era. This Saturday 23 men will get the chance to do just that on the greatest stage of all. 23 men will have the opportunity to bring pride to a name which first marched onto Brunswick Street oval in 1883, to bring pride to Fitzroy!
