I am in residence in Taipei until the end of November! I am incredibly grateful to spend time with amazing friends in their home city, making new friends, reading about recent discoveries about 痠 (sng) that are changing how we think about chronic pain, and contemplating these amazing mountains.

Anouk Verviers is an interdisciplinary artist, filmmaker, performer, and researcher based between London, UK, and Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal, CA. Verviers develops an interdisciplinary practice rooted in community through non-systematic, intuitive research processes that hold installations, films, performances, sculpture, writings, and sound.
Her practice moves between dismantling and world-making, looking backwards at complicated legacies and forwards with ‘feminist science-fiction experiments’. Pulling from archives, stories from her community, and her own lived experience, her most recent work looks at the past and the future of female and non-binary bodies living with chronic pain, chronic-illness, and exhaustion.
She holds a BFA from UQAM (CA) and an MFA from Goldsmiths (UK). Her work has been shown internationally. Recent exhibitions and residencies include London Performance Studios (2026, UK); Manif d’art Biennial (2026, CA); Images Festival (2026, CA); MOMENTA Contemporary Art Biennial (2025, CA); Parsec (2025, IT); Cove Park (2025, UK); PRIM-Dazibao (2025, CA); and ACME (2024, UK).
