Another one for the books! 📚 Our new study on Medicaid expansion and kidney cancer survival is now published in the Journal of Surgical Research.

The takeaway: expanding Medicaid saved lives — mortality fell 7.5% among adults with renal cell carcinoma. But the benefits weren't shared equally, and Black patients saw no significant improvement. Insurance access is a powerful tool, but equity requires more.

Proud of this incredible multi-institutional team from Howard University College of Medicine, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. On to the next! 🙌
