The John Lewis Christmas 🎄 advert is a massive UK 🇬🇧 cultural moment, but this year’s offering, Gloria and Pickles, leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to age representation. On the surface, it’s a sweet festive tale. But look a little closer and you’ll see the hallmarks of everyday ageism. From giving a 66-year-old woman 👩🏻‍🦳 an anachronistic 1940s-style name 👵🏻 to forcing her to play with toddler toys she would have been too old for, the ad treats older women as generic and, out-of-touch 🤦‍♀️ True inclusion means respecting the distinct generational identity of older people, not treating a late-Boomer like an old-fashioned caricature who has to build a disco 🪩 cave just to be liked. Swipe through to see the breakdown, and let me know your thoughts below! #JohnLewisChristmasAd #EverydayAgeism #ageism #ChristmasAds2026

Vandals target Republican Sen. Susan Collins' Maine office overnight, leaving red paint and a disturbing message outside the building just hours before Election Day. "BLOOD on her HANDS" is written across the sidewalk, with paint splattered near the entrance to the senator's Biddeford office. Collins' chief of staff says this is the second attempt in recent weeks to intimidate the senator and her staff, adding that employees remain undeterred. Police are investigating as Collins faces Democratic challenger Troy Jackson in her bid for a sixth Senate term. Download the Fox News app or go to Foxnews.com for more.
