Fleurs De Villes is partnering with Lynnewood Hall to host : A 10 day live floral sculpture exhibition inspired by the HBO original series The Gilded Age!
The Hall is considered the largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the Philadelphia area. It is the second largest in the United State with 110 rooms, sprawling over 100,000 square feet. Built by architect Horace Trumbauer for industrialist Peter A. B. Widener of Widener Memorial School , Widener Memorial Library and Widener University. It also housed a legendary private art collection featuring works by Rembrandt, Degas, Greco, Donatello, Monet, and Titian as well as a vast French garden experience that was designed by renowned landscape architect Jaques Greber inspired by the Gardens of Versailles.
This Friday the doors to this national treasure will be open to the public for the first time in over 80 years! With the help of state grants, private donations and the establishment of the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation this building is slated to be restored to its original glory!
We are setting up shop September 25th- October 4th from 10am-6pm each day at a Pop-Up store nested in one of the main floor rooms, curated by artist Lauren Dombrowiak!
Come experience this historic estate in its current form and witness the transformation to come! Ticket sales go towards the continued restoration project, and they range from $22-30 dollars.
