It’s hard to find a good vocal coach because often times A) they don’t know what they’re talking about. B) They don’t keep it real with their students. So it’s okay if their student sounds horrible as long as they’re not offended. But every legendary singer will tell you they emulated somebody that was great as well. It always starts that way. Often times at such a young age too. Even opera singers teach their students to sing like them.
