One year ago today, we rescued the most enchanting little elephant.

Wangalla was found amongst a herd of zebras, days old and desperately searching for family. She is but one of the many tiny elephants saved by ‘Misheck’s magic,’ the care of one of our most gifted Keepers. This film gives you a peek at her early days with us and her lovely relationship with Mischek. These days, Wangalla a bit bigger, a lot bolder, and even blossoming into a mini nanny!

At just a year old, Wangalla’s journey with us is just beginning. In honour of her #rescueversary, support her round-the-clock care through an adoption: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans/wangalla

John, you were a true legend, but more than that, you were one of my favorite human beings to ever walk this planet.

I first met John Frieda in India in 1990. Our time there is a whole other story—magical, life-changing, and the beginning of something extraordinary.

Years later, through Brooke Wall, our paths crossed again, and we went on to become partners for 10 incredible years. We opened our first salon on Melrose Place, which became iconic, and together we made magic.

I absolutely adored John. The laughter, the adventures, the creativity, the unforgettable experiences—we truly had the time of our lives.

Thank you, John, for changing my life in more ways than you could ever imagine. I will forever cherish our friendship, our memories, and all the magic we created together. You will always have a place in my heart.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. ❤️

Sending all my love to John’s family and everyone who was lucky enough to know and love him🤍🙏🏻🕊️
