I'm not sure why this is a trend ➡️ stating your extended surgery time like a badge of honor 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's not good.

Especially if your surgery is routine - ORIFs, ligament repairs, clean ups, etc.

Professionally it makes me question competency and experience.

Most importantly ➡️ Does it affect your recovery potential? probably not.
🫆That's on you and your care team.

✔️Knowing what is expected throughout your rehab is critical to your success. Know what you're doing and why. What, when and why gives you the tools to get back to you. That's the whole point right?

This is where PTs shine.🌞
Build that gap from "broken to better," "surgery to the slopes" (I used to work with skiers). 💕

If you need surgery, get it. Also get the facts. Lastly, know what is expected of you for you on the other side of surgery.

@stoneclinic Dr. Kevin Stone tells his patients "surgery is 30%. The other 70% is you and the work you do."
It's true.
Surgery fixes the part, not the person.
