CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ENVIOUS — PART 3 🌿

Hasad is not always expressed openly. According to the book, what a person hides in their heart may eventually become visible through their looks, speech, expressions, reactions and behaviour.

This part explores the characteristics described in the book — from constantly complaining and searching for faults, to belittling someone’s good qualities, constant criticism, hidden resentment and looking for opportunities to cause harm.

But there is an important reminder: not every criticism is Hasad, and not every uncomfortable expression means envy. We should not accuse people based on one isolated reaction. Look for patterns, remain fair, and protect your own heart without becoming suspicious of everyone.

May Allah purify our hearts from Hasad, protect us from its harm, and make us among those who sincerely wish الخير for others. Ameen. 🤍
