Today we are celebrating 10 years of marriage and it is truly a celebration. Allowing yourself to be intimately known is a beautiful thing. It reveals depths to you that you never knew were there. Depths that experience overwhelming joy, depths that endure suffering and depths that reveal the selfish parts of you. Marriage and parenting have well and truly revealed the selfish parts of us while suffering has revealed the beautiful parts. Letting those selfish parts go and embracing the suffering has caused us to find deep joy. We love each other more than we ever have and thank God that He has been so kind, so faithful, so patient. 10 years and the rest of our lives to go.
