One year later, and you still make the world feel lighter by existing in it.

There are the things I loved about you when I first wrote those words — your undaunted spirit, your quiet generosity, the way you notice beauty where others might miss it, and the way you make the people around you feel seen and cared for.

A year later, and I love you in a way that feels quieter, deeper, and somehow bigger than I knew was possible.
I’ve gotten to know the things that live underneath what everyone else gets to see.
The way you look at me. The way you make me laugh when I don’t feel like laughing. The comfort of being completely myself beside you. The adventures we’ve shared and the ordinary moments that become my most treasured memories simply because they’re with you.

You’ve helped me become louder and softer at the same time. Life with you feels like both a great adventure and something wonderfully, unexpectedly steady.

Happy birthday to my favourite person, my favourite journey, and my favourite place to come home to. I have never felt so wholly taken care of by another human.
