Totally ready to yell this at Kirke/Circe in Spanish. Who says Duolingo doesn’t teach you useful phrases? Wait, I can say it in Greek too! Τους μετέτρεψες σε γουρούνια! K, back to my novel draft now. No, I’m not procrastinating. I’m learning. #notprocrastinating #duolingo #kirke #onedayillfinishthisbook

The idea of being the “perfect housewife” in the 1940s came with a long list of expectations that would seem almost unimaginable today. 🤍 Women were often expected to maintain a spotless home, prepare dinner before their husbands arrived, dress neatly, greet them with a smile and avoid discussing problems after a long working day. Household advice from the era also encouraged wives to listen patiently, avoid interrupting their husbands, create a peaceful atmosphere and put their husband’s comfort first. Behind this idealised image was a demanding reality. Many women spent their days cooking, cleaning, raising children and managing the household, often without the modern appliances we take for granted. These rules reflected the traditional gender roles promoted at the time, although not every household followed them. Which of these expectations do you think would cause the biggest controversy today? #1940s #history #nostalgia #vintagelife #socialhistory
15k subscribers in 24 hours... Over 2,000 sign-ups for the playtest... Over 2,000 comments... Honestly, it’s madness. And I’m genuinely in shock at how fast everything can develop. A lot of people are writing to me, both good things and bad. I read everything and try to answer everyone I can. I’ll be honest - I faltered. It was really hard for me to imagine that my game could gain such resonance with people so quickly, build an audience so fast. An famous streamer whom I loved watching in my childhood even sent me a DM. What could be better? But this also has a reverse side that many don’t notice, or don’t even know exists... I am a human, just like you. I have needs, emotions, feelings. I can get tired and upset. And I am well aware of the flaws of my game, as well as its strengths. And I am truly scared, scared not to live up to expectations, but every day I gather my thoughts in a fist anyway and keep working. What people write to me - that AI is doing everything instead of me - I don’t give a damn about them. If it were that simple, we would have long seen every second person making their own game themselves, but that is not happening and will not happen. I have truly never done anything so complex. Imagine this: I need to tie together around 1 thousand mechanics, balance them, and optimize them at the same time. And on top of that, besides the fact that all this simply has to function normally with each other, it also has to feel pleasant to play.. I am continuing the work. I might disappear for a while, but I will return with new features and news. I will post content, but I will leave that more to automated processes.
