🛸 I absolutely had to grab a copy of this wonderful book after it was recommended by @writeonauthor Jasmine on @the_rebel_reading_society live. I think she said it’s a book that is, “programming the adults of the future” and she is absolutely right!

👾 The story starts with three ‘aliens’ crash landing on earth. They are quirky, funny and definitely human. Their ‘car’ needs some repairs, so Mr. Li offers them a room for the night while they wait for the shops to open. The visitors do not behave conventionally and the illustrations capture them hilariously trying to blend in.

💜 Looking beyond the funny illustrations, there is a much deeper meaning. The book teaches us that we can show generosity to those in need, offer shelter and compassion, welcome and celebrate our differences and always be kind. It also illustrated the power of community, as the neighbourhood unites to fix the ‘car’.

💙 An amazing teaching resource for children of all ages. The world needs books like this right now and I cannot wait to share it at school.
