Scenes from the recent Durant in the City dinner featuring
@itsplantbasedpapi and
@durant_oregon olive oils and wines. 🌿🫒🍷✨
Blockhouse is one of Portland’s dreamiest venues with a greenhouse tucked within sprawling greenery and botanicals. We kicked off the evening with a fabulous welcome brut, before digging into roasted garlic and rosemary focaccia served with glorious EVOO, of course.
The menu journeyed through late summer heirloom tomato and charred corn salad (love!), roasted beet and pear salad topped with crunchy toasted hazelnuts, wild mushroom and caramelized onions with creamy polenta, and finally, roasted delicata and honeynut squash lasagna served with wild mushroom ragu and decadent bechamel sauce. This hearty entree paired wonderfully with Durant Coyote Pinot Noir.
For dessert, Jewan brought his signature olive oil cake. This version arrived with blackberry compote, vanilla bean cream, candied orange, and a drizzle of orange infused olive oil.
This beautiful evening helped support
@nokidhungry. And it was lovely to meet one of the Durant folks (hi Erin!) that I recently connected with over email. Thanks for having me,
@lawrencepr_pdx! ♥️
