Serein Soirée opened less than a year ago, and if I’m being honest, I’ve had plenty of moments where I wondered if we were moving or growing fast enough.

So I stopped for a moment and looked back.

At the projects.
The people I’ve met.
The conversations that turned into opportunities.
The things I’ve learned.
The things I had to figure out along the way.
The ideas that once lived only in my head and now exist in the real world.

And somewhere in all of that, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude — and a little bit of wonder at how much can happen in such a short amount of time.

We’re so used to thinking about the next project, the next milestone, the next thing we need to figure out that we barely notice when we’ve actually made progress.

So this one is for my fellow creatives, entrepreneurs, and friends:

Before you rush into whatever comes next, take a second to look around.

Maybe you’re a lot further along than you think.
Maybe the things you’re waiting for aren’t the only things worth celebrating.

Sometimes you just need to turn around for a moment to realize how much you’ve done, how much you’ve learned, and how far you’ve already come. 🤍
