After several years in Hollywood, actress @kerrywashington decided she wanted to be calling more of the shots, creating more opportunity for herself and others.
She founded her Los Angeles-based production company @simpsonstreet in 2016, and later partnered with Pilar Savone, Simpson’s Street’s president of production and development, to create feature and documentary films, as well as television series, Broadway plays, podcasts, and other projects.
For Inc.’s The Way I Work series about how founders and CEOs approach productivity, Washington and Savone share their yin-yang leadership styles, and how they run a business that balances creativity and getting things done.
