What makes a band stick with you for years?

Two fans, two different journeys, but one band that brought us together. Here's why Dark Tranquillity means a lot to us:

Nastya:
"I have been a genuine fan of Dark Tranquillity for about ten years now. I love absolutely everything about the band's songs: the lyrics; the incredible vocals that blend powerful extreme styles with melodic clean singing; and the musical arrangements, ranging from heavy riffs to soft, almost lullaby-like passages. Dark Tranquillity is one of the few bands whose songs I can listen to back-to-back without ever getting tired of them. They are a band whose albums are truly distinct—each possessing its own unique atmosphere—yet the moment you listen, you know instantly that it is Dark Tranquillity. They are unmistakable."

Melissa:
"Dark Tranquillity has been a band that has meant a lot to me since the first time I heard them around 7 years ago. Their song “Atoma” came on while I was cleaning, I remember pausing what I was doing just to rewind it & listen again. I remember thinking to myself that I hadn’t heard music quite so beautiful before. Dark Tranquillity became a gateway band into so many of the bands I love today. Seeing them live years later made that connection feel even stronger- especially when Mikael held my hand and sang part of “Atoma” to me. It felt like a full-circle moment that I’ll never forget."
